Rajasthan ASI Dies of Heart Attack During Promotion Test; Cremated With Full Honours

A 50-year-old Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) from Barmer, Durga Ram Bhil, died of a heart attack while participating in a physical efficiency test for promotion to Sub-Inspector in Jodhpur. He had completed the run but collapsed shortly after complaining of chest pain. Rushed to a hospital, doctors attempted resuscitation but were unsuccessful. His body was later brought back to Barmer and cremated with full police honours, with senior officers paying their respects. The death comes as a devastating blow to his family, who recently lost his father and elder brother.

जोधपुर में सब-इंस्पेक्टर के प्रमोशन के लिए फिजिकल एफिशिएंसी टेस्ट में भाग ले रहे बाड़मेर के 50 वर्षीय असिस्टेंट सब-इंस्पेक्टर (ASI) दुर्गा राम भील की हार्ट अटैक से मौत हो गई। उन्होंने दौड़ पूरी कर ली थी लेकिन सीने में दर्द की शिकायत के कुछ देर बाद ही वे गिर पड़े। उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहाँ डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें बचाने की कोशिश की लेकिन वे सफल नहीं हुए। बाद में उनका शव बाड़मेर लाया गया और वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करने के साथ पूरे पुलिस सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। यह मौत उनके परिवार के लिए एक बड़ा सदमा है, जिन्होंने हाल ही में उनके पिता और बड़े भाई को खो दिया था।
