Farmers to March to Delhi on Oct 23 Demanding CEC's Resignation

Various farmers' organisations under the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) will march to Delhi on October 23. They are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Senior SKM leader Ashok Dhawale stated that protests will also occur simultaneously at district, taluk, and block headquarters. Dhawale indicated that students, youth, women, civil society, and trade unions would join the farmers in this significant protest against the electoral roll revision process.

संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा (SKM) के बैनर तले विभिन्न किसान संगठन 23 अक्टूबर को दिल्ली के लिए मार्च करेंगे। वे चुनावी रोल के विशेष गहन संशोधन को लेकर मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहे हैं। SKM के वरिष्ठ नेता अशोक धावले ने कहा कि जिला, तालुका और ब्लॉक मुख्यालयों पर भी एक साथ विरोध प्रदर्शन होंगे। धावले ने संकेत दिया कि छात्र, युवा, महिलाएं, नागरिक समाज और ट्रेड यूनियन चुनावी रोल संशोधन प्रक्रिया के खिलाफ इस महत्वपूर्ण विरोध प्रदर्शन में किसानों के साथ शामिल होंगे।
