The producer of Prabhas' horror-comedy, The Raja Saab, has attributed the film's poor box office performance to its Sankranthi release. Made on a budget exceeding ₹400 crore, the movie only managed to gross ₹208 crore worldwide. Producer TG Vishwa Prasad stated that releasing during the festive season was a fundamental mistake, suggesting a different release time might have yielded better results. He also cited issues like delayed premieres and attempts to increase ticket prices as contributing factors to audience frustration.

प्रभास की हॉरर-कॉमेडी, द राजा साब के प्रोड्यूसर ने फिल्म के खराब बॉक्स ऑफिस प्रदर्शन का कारण इसकी संक्रांति रिलीज़ को बताया है। ₹400 करोड़ से ज़्यादा के बजट में बनी यह फिल्म दुनिया भर में सिर्फ़ ₹208 करोड़ ही कमा पाई। प्रोड्यूसर टीजी विश्व प्रसाद ने कहा कि त्योहारी सीज़न के दौरान रिलीज़ करना एक बड़ी गलती थी, और सुझाव दिया कि अलग रिलीज़ समय से बेहतर नतीजे मिल सकते थे। उन्होंने देरी से प्रीमियर और टिकट की कीमतें बढ़ाने की कोशिशों को भी दर्शकों की निराशा के कारणों में गिनाया।
