The Rajasthan High Court has officially closed the oldest pending first appeal, a family property dispute that had been ongoing since 1961. The case involved two sons of a former jagirdar, Bishan Singh, fighting over ancestral property in Jaipur. A trial court initially ruled in 1978 for equal shares, but the elder son appealed. After both brothers passed away, their children continued the legal battle. Ultimately, all parties agreed to the property division as per the 1978 decree, leading the court to conclude the appeal was no longer necessary.
