Vizhinjam International Seaport Ltd (VISL) has selected a new 20-acre site near Amaravila for the Central Warehousing Corporation’s (CWC) logistics park, moving it further south from Udiyankulangara. This decision follows significant local protests against the earlier proposed location, where residents cited concerns about displacing approximately 500 families. The new site offers lower population density and proximity to a railway line, crucial for the logistics facility. The CWC park is integral to developing logistics infrastructure around the Vizhinjam International Seaport to manage increasing cargo volumes.

विझिंजम इंटरनेशनल सीपोर्ट लिमिटेड (VISL) ने सेंट्रल वेयरहाउसिंग कॉर्पोरेशन (CWC) के लॉजिस्टिक्स पार्क के लिए अमरविला के पास 20 एकड़ की नई जगह चुनी है। यह जगह पहले प्रस्तावित उदियानकुलंगारा से और दक्षिण में है। यह फैसला पहले प्रस्तावित स्थान के खिलाफ हुए बड़े स्थानीय विरोध के बाद आया है। निवासियों ने लगभग 500 परिवारों के विस्थापन की चिंता जताई थी। नई जगह पर आबादी कम है और यह रेलवे लाइन के करीब है, जो लॉजिस्टिक्स सुविधा के लिए ज़रूरी है। CWC पार्क विझिंजम इंटरनेशनल सीपोर्ट के आसपास लॉजिस्टिक्स इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर विकसित करने का अहम हिस्सा है, ताकि बढ़ते कार्गो वॉल्यूम को संभाला जा सके।
