Apple has appointed insider Steve Smith as its new head of mergers and acquisitions, according to a memo seen by Reuters. Adrian Perica, a long-time M&A executive, will move to the services division, taking oversight of iCloud, Fitness+, and News. Perica will now report to services chief Eddy Cue, who expressed excitement about Perica dedicating more time to services. Carson Oliver is also promoted to vice president of the App Store. This marks a significant management shift under new CEO John Ternus.
