A free AI-powered application called FarmerChat is helping India's farmers quickly identify crop diseases and pests. Shiv Kumar Yadav, a nursery owner from Uttar Pradesh, used the app after noticing black patches on his mango saplings. Within seconds, he received a diagnosis and treatment instructions, saving his plants. Digital Green India developed the app to bridge the gap in accessing timely agricultural knowledge for the country's over 150 million farmers.
