16 अक्टूबर को भारत के बड़े शहरों में पेट्रोल और डीज़ल की कीमतें स्थिर रहीं। सरकारी तेल कंपनियों ने दाम में कोई बदलाव नहीं किया। अमेरिका-ईरान के बीच बढ़ते तनाव के कारण कच्चे तेल की बढ़ती कीमतों के बावजूद यह स्थिरता बनी हुई है। मुंबई में पेट्रोल की कीमत ₹111.21 प्रति लीटर पर स्थिर रही। वहीं, आठ जगहों पर सीएनजी की कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी हुई, जिसमें चेन्नई, मथुरा और मेरठ में ₹2 की सबसे बड़ी वृद्धि देखी गई। मध्य पूर्व में तनाव और संभावित अमेरिकी प्रतिबंधों में ढील के बीच निवेशकों ने वैश्विक तेल की कीमतों में मामूली गिरावट का अनुभव किया।
