India's air defence capabilities are set to significantly strengthen as a deal worth approximately ₹30,000 crore for the indigenous QRSAM system for the Indian Army nears final approval. CCS is expected to grant its sanction soon. BEL will lead system integration, while BDL will supply the missiles, with BDL anticipating an order of ₹10,000-12,000 crore. This initiative involves over 200 companies, including MSMEs, boosting India's defence manufacturing sector and self-reliance.
