Delhi Power Subsidy: Aadhaar Proof Now Mandatory For Beneficiaries

The Delhi government has mandated Aadhaar authentication or proof of Aadhaar possession for electricity subsidy beneficiaries. A notification issued on September 30 requires consumers to furnish their Aadhaar number via a web portal or other prescribed methods to receive benefits. This rule applies to beneficiaries under schemes administered by BSES, Tata Power, NDMC, and MES. The move aims to verify identities and ensure targeted subsidy delivery. Consumers without an Aadhaar can still apply by submitting their enrolment ID, and the government will widely publicise this new provision.

दिल्ली सरकार ने बिजली सब्सिडी पाने वाले लाभार्थियों के लिए आधार प्रमाणीकरण या आधार होने का प्रमाण देना ज़रूरी कर दिया है। 30 सितंबर को जारी एक सूचना के अनुसार, लाभ पाने के लिए उपभोक्ताओं को वेब पोर्टल या अन्य बताए गए तरीकों से अपना आधार नंबर देना होगा। यह नियम BSES, Tata Power, NDMC और MES द्वारा चलाई जा रही योजनाओं के लाभार्थियों पर लागू होता है। इस कदम का मकसद पहचान सत्यापित करना और सब्सिडी का सही लोगों तक पहुंचना सुनिश्चित करना है। जिनके पास आधार नहीं है, वे अभी भी अपना एनरोलमेंट आईडी जमा करके आवेदन कर सकते हैं, और सरकार इस नए प्रावधान का बड़े पैमाने पर प्रचार करेगी।
