Gen Z Embraces 'Room Rotting' Travel Trend for Ultimate Relaxation

Times of India · lifestyle

Gen Z is redefining vacation goals with 'room rotting,' a trend focused on relaxation rather than sightseeing. This involves spending significant time indoors, enjoying hotel amenities like room service and comfortable beds, and prioritizing rest. Airbnb reports indicate that two-thirds of young travelers surveyed intended to do nothing on their trips, with eight in ten spending at least half their vacation at their accommodation. This shift reflects a desire to de-stress from demanding daily routines and view rest as a luxury.
