Pink Electric Autorickshaws Empower Women in Dakshina Kannada

Rotary International District 3181 has launched a 'Pink Auto Project' in Dakshina Kannada, introducing pink electric autorickshaws driven by women for women. This initiative aims to promote women's empowerment, safe commuting, and eco-friendly transport. So far, 12 autos have been distributed, with 12 more under production. The project provides financial aid for down payments, driving training, and licensing, helping destitute women achieve financial independence and dignity through sustainable livelihoods.

रोटरी इंटरनेशनल डिस्ट्रिक्ट 3181 ने दक्षिण कन्नड़ में 'पिंक ऑटो प्रोजेक्ट' शुरू किया है। इसमें महिलाओं द्वारा चलाई जाने वाली पिंक इलेक्ट्रिक ऑटो रिक्शा महिलाओं के लिए पेश की गई हैं। इस पहल का मकसद महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाना, सुरक्षित सफर देना और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल परिवहन को बढ़ावा देना है। अब तक 12 ऑटो बांटे जा चुके हैं और 12 और तैयार हो रहे हैं। यह प्रोजेक्ट डाउन पेमेंट, ड्राइविंग ट्रेनिंग और लाइसेंस के लिए आर्थिक मदद देता है, जिससे बेसहारा महिलाओं को टिकाऊ आजीविका के ज़रिए आर्थिक आज़ादी और सम्मान पाने में मदद मिलती है।
