Nabard has sanctioned a Rs195-crore loan to the Bihar government for developing modern fisheries infrastructure in Siwan district. This funding, provided under the Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund, aims to boost fish production and enhance the livelihoods of those dependent on the sector. The project includes establishing fish farming units, hatcheries, cold storage, processing units, and improving transportation and marketing systems. It is expected to create new opportunities for fish farmers, self-help groups, and rural youth, strengthening the district's fisheries value chain and rural economy.

नाबार्ड ने बिहार सरकार को सिवान जिले में आधुनिक मछली पालन इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर बनाने के लिए 195 करोड़ रुपये का लोन मंज़ूर किया है। इस फंड से मछली उत्पादन बढ़ेगा और मछुआरों की आय सुधरेगी। इसमें फिश फार्मिंग यूनिट, हैचरी, कोल्ड स्टोरेज और प्रोसेसिंग यूनिट लगेंगे। साथ ही, ट्रांसपोर्ट और मार्केटिंग सिस्टम भी बेहतर होगा। इससे मछली किसानों, स्वयं सहायता समूहों और ग्रामीण युवाओं को नए मौके मिलेंगे।
