Karthik Subbaraj Reveals Original 'Game Changer' Story Had Gangster Element

Times of India · entertainment

Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj has revealed that his original story for Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' featured a Madurai-based gangster angle, differing significantly from the final political action drama. Subbaraj initially provided only the story to director Shankar, as he was busy with pre-production for 'Mahaan'. His initial concept, inspired by 'Newton' but with more action, focused on an officer changing the system from within. Subbaraj expressed happiness that Shankar adapted his story, despite the extensive changes made for the commercial production.
