Man Arrested for Hacking Watchman to Death Over Theft Allegation

A 35-year-old man, Jayram Munda, has been arrested by Koida police in Odisha's Sundargarh district for allegedly hacking a watchman, Sanatan Munda (45), to death with an axe. The incident occurred on Monday night when Jayram confronted Sanatan, accusing him of claiming Jayram had stolen truck batteries. Sanatan denied the accusation, leading to an altercation where Jayram allegedly attacked Sanatan and his uncle. Sanatan succumbed to his injuries, while Jayram fled the scene. The accused later surrendered to the police and confessed to the crime.

ओडिशा के सुंदरगढ़ जिले में कोइडा पुलिस ने 35 वर्षीय जयराम मुंडा को 45 वर्षीय चौकीदार सनातन मुंडा की कुल्हाड़ी से काटकर हत्या करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। यह घटना सोमवार रात को हुई जब जयराम ने सनातन से कहासुनी की, आरोप लगाया कि जयराम ने ट्रक की बैटरियां चुराई हैं। सनातन ने आरोप से इनकार किया, जिसके बाद कहासुनी हुई और जयराम ने कथित तौर पर सनातन और उसके चाचा पर हमला कर दिया। सनातन की चोटों के कारण मौत हो गई, जबकि जयराम मौके से फरार हो गया। आरोपी ने बाद में पुलिस के सामने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया और अपराध कबूल कर लिया।
