A 50-year-old man from Jhansi, Jameel Ahmad, has been acquitted by an Agra court after spending a year in jail on charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy. He was accused in 2004 of being part of a Pakistan spy network, allegedly implicated by two suspected agents. The court cited insufficient evidence for his conviction, noting the prosecution failed to prove his involvement. A key piece of evidence, a CD claimed to contain sensitive military information, was found broken when presented to the court.
