Odisha's higher education campuses will see student union elections held after an eight-year suspension, with the process to be completed within 10 days. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved the elections, which aim to instill democratic values and prepare students for future leadership roles. The elections, last held in 2017, are scheduled to conclude before Dussehra holidays, with colleges issuing notifications on October 7, 2026, and voting on October 15. The government will adhere to Supreme Court guidelines and Lyngdoh Committee recommendations to ensure peaceful conduct.

ओडिशा के उच्च शिक्षा परिसरों में आठ साल के निलंबन के बाद छात्र संघ चुनाव होंगे, यह प्रक्रिया 10 दिनों के भीतर पूरी की जाएगी। मुख्यमंत्री मोहन चरण माझी ने चुनावों को मंजूरी दे दी है, जिनका उद्देश्य लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों को स्थापित करना और छात्रों को भविष्य की नेतृत्व भूमिकाओं के लिए तैयार करना है। ये चुनाव, जो आखिरी बार 2017 में हुए थे, दशहरा की छुट्टियों से पहले समाप्त होने वाले हैं, जिसमें कॉलेज 7 अक्टूबर, 2026 को अधिसूचना जारी करेंगे और 15 अक्टूबर को मतदान होगा। सरकार शांतिपूर्ण संचालन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए Supreme Court के दिशानिर्देशों और Lyngdoh Committee की सिफारिशों का पालन करेगी।
