They urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure eligible voters are not excluded from electoral rolls.

अमृतसर में विपक्षी दलों ने बुधवार को मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार का पुतला फूंका। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि चल रही चुनावी संशोधन प्रक्रिया, जिसे स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) के नाम से जाना जाता है, चुनावी प्रक्रिया से समझौता कर रही है। उन्होंने कुमार के तत्काल इस्तीफे और कथित तौर पर हटाए गए वोटों की बहाली की मांग की। दलों ने चुनाव आयोग के कामकाज में अधिक पारदर्शिता और विश्वसनीयता की भी मांग की। उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से आग्रह किया कि योग्य मतदाताओं को मतदाता सूची से बाहर न रखा जाए।
