Sanjayan Tripathi has filed a fresh nomination for the Gorakhpur-Faizabad Teachers’ Constituency MLC election as the Samajwadi Party candidate. Tripathi had initially filed as an independent after being denied a BJP ticket, but was later inducted into the SP by party president Akhilesh Yadav. The SP's earlier nominee was withdrawn to accommodate Tripathi. He is now set to strategize with party district presidents for booth-level preparations. The BJP candidate, Dhruv Kumar Tripathi, has already filed his nomination, alongside other contestants, as the focus shifts to campaigning among teacher voters.
