Yellow Alerts Issued For Heavy Rainfall In Kerala

IMD has issued yellow alerts for heavy rainfall in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on Wednesday. Further yellow warnings are in place for various Kerala districts. This comes as the state faces a significant rainfall deficiency of 28% for the current season. Only six districts recorded normal rainfall, while others, particularly Wayanad and Idukki, are experiencing substantial shortfalls. The IMD is also set to announce its forecast for the northeast monsoon on Wednesday.
