NGT Notice To Haryana Over Aravali Excavation

The National Green Tribunal has issued notices to Haryana and the Centre regarding excavation on protected Aravali land in Faridabad's Badkhal. The NGT observed that the excavation, which occurred on 25 acres of forest land, likely violates environmental laws, including the Forest Conservation Act and PLPA. This action was prompted by a Times of India report detailing ongoing excavation despite a long-standing ban on mining in the region.

नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल (NGT) ने हरियाणा सरकार और केंद्र को फरीदाबाद के बडखल में अरावली की संरक्षित जमीन पर हो रही खुदाई को लेकर नोटिस भेजा है। NGT ने कहा कि 25 एकड़ जंगल की जमीन पर यह खुदाई पर्यावरण कानूनों का उल्लंघन कर सकती है। यह मामला टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया की एक रिपोर्ट के बाद सामने आया, जिसमें बताया गया था कि इलाके में खनन पर रोक के बावजूद खुदाई जारी है।
