Simran Preet Panesar, a former Air Canada employee wanted in Canada for his alleged involvement in the country's largest gold heist of 2023, is reportedly unable to leave India. Canadian authorities requested his extradition after he resigned from Air Canada and allegedly came to India. Indian authorities suspect he brought a significant portion of the stolen gold, valued at over $20 million, to India to sell. Panesar's lawyer maintains he is not a fugitive and is openly living in India, working on music projects.
