Supreme Court Judge Criticises Judiciary's Role

Supreme Court judge Justice Bhuyan has criticised the judiciary's role in protecting constitutional freedoms. He noted that citizens increasingly face criminal action for exercising their right to protest. While courts often grant relief, he suggested this is not always timely. सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जज जस्टिस भुयान ने न्यायपालिका की भूमिका पर सवाल उठाए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि संवैधानिक आजादी की रक्षा में न्यायपालिका का काम ठीक नहीं है। लोग विरोध प्रदर्शन का अधिकार इस्तेमाल करते हैं तो उन पर केस हो जाते हैं। कोर्ट राहत तो देते हैं, पर समय पर नहीं। जस्टिस भुयान ने कहा कि गंगा में चिकन खाने या गाजा के लिए विरोध करने पर कोई कानून नहीं है, यानी ऐसे काम होने चाहिए।
