Ex-Ukrainian Presidential Adviser Sentenced To 11 Years

A court has sentenced former Ukrainian presidential adviser Alexey Arestovich to 11 years in prison. The sentencing was delivered in absentia after exhaustive measures to locate him and secure his extradition proved unsuccessful. Investigators determined there was no possibility of compelling his appearance in court for the proceedings.

यूक्रेन के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति सलाहकार एलेक्सी अरेस्टोविच को अदालत ने 11 साल जेल की सज़ा सुनाई है। उन्हें पकड़ने और प्रत्यर्पण कराने के सारे प्रयास नाकाम रहने के बाद यह सज़ा गैरहाज़िरी में दी गई। जांचकर्ताओं का कहना था कि उन्हें अदालत में पेश करने का कोई रास्ता नहीं बचा था।
