DVAC Raids 25 Locations Linked to Former TN Minister K N Nehru Over Job Scam

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted raids across at least 25 locations connected to former Tamil Nadu minister K N Nehru on Thursday. The searches, spanning cities like Chennai, Trichy, and Coimbatore, are part of an investigation into a suspected multi-crore cash-for-jobs scam in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply department. Officials seized 170 incriminating documents and 13 electronic gadgets. The probe focuses on alleged irregularities in recruiting 2,538 candidates, involving a suspected Rs 634 crore financial network.

निगरानी और भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक निदेशालय (DVAC) ने गुरुवार को पूर्व तमिलनाडु मंत्री के एन नेहरू से जुड़े कम से कम 25 ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की। चेन्नई, त्रिची और कोयंबटूर जैसे शहरों में फैले इन छापों का मकसद नगर प्रशासन और जल आपूर्ति विभाग में कथित करोड़ों रुपये के नौकरी के बदले पैसे के घोटाले की जांच करना है। अधिकारियों ने 170 आपत्तिजनक दस्तावेज और 13 इलेक्ट्रॉनिक गैजेट जब्त किए। यह जांच 2,538 उम्मीदवारों की भर्ती में कथित अनियमितताओं पर केंद्रित है, जिसमें कथित तौर पर 634 करोड़ रुपये का वित्तीय नेटवर्क शामिल है।
