Gujarat FRC Warns Colleges of Criminal Action for Charging Excess Fees

FRC has issued a stern warning to self-financed technical institutions, threatening criminal action for collecting fees beyond approved limits. Colleges are now mandated to submit affidavits, disclosing their complete fee structures, including all additional charges. This directive follows numerous complaints from students and parents regarding alleged overcharging during the recent admission process. Failure to comply or providing false information in the affidavits will result in legal action against institutional heads under relevant acts.

एफआरसी ने स्व-वित्तपोषित तकनीकी संस्थानों को सख्त चेतावनी जारी की है, जिसमें स्वीकृत सीमाओं से अधिक फीस वसूलने पर आपराधिक कार्रवाई की धमकी दी गई है। कॉलेजों को अब अपने पूर्ण शुल्क ढांचे का खुलासा करने वाले हलफनामे जमा करने होंगे, जिसमें सभी अतिरिक्त शुल्क शामिल होंगे। यह निर्देश हाल की प्रवेश प्रक्रिया के दौरान कथित तौर पर अधिक शुल्क वसूलने को लेकर छात्रों और अभिभावकों की कई शिकायतों के बाद आया है। हलफनामे में अनुपालन करने में विफलता या झूठी जानकारी प्रदान करने पर संबंधित अधिनियमों के तहत संस्थागत प्रमुखों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
