Flood-Hit Faizullaganj Faces Drinking Water Crisis After Borewells Fail

Residents of Lucknow's Faizullaganj are grappling with a severe drinking water shortage following recent floods. Many household borewells have become non-functional, while others are now supplying dirty, foul-smelling water contaminated by floodwaters and silt. This crisis affects areas like Lohramau, Millatnagar, Faizullaganj Dhaal, and Mama Colony, where groundwater is the primary source. Families are struggling to secure safe drinking water as they return home. The local Jal Kal department has deployed 25 water tankers to supply water, and the Municipal Corporation is conducting drainage and sanitation work.

लखनऊ के फैजुल्लागंज के लोग हाल की बाढ़ के बाद पीने के पानी की गंभीर कमी से जूझ रहे हैं। कई घरों के बोरवेल खराब हो गए हैं, जबकि कुछ से बाढ़ के पानी और गाद से दूषित, गंदा और बदबूदार पानी आ रहा है। यह संकट लोहरामऊ, मिल्लत नगर, फैजुल्लागंज ढाल और मामा कॉलोनी जैसे इलाकों को प्रभावित कर रहा है, जहाँ भूजल मुख्य स्रोत है। घर लौटने पर परिवार सुरक्षित पीने का पानी जुटाने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं। स्थानीय जलकल विभाग ने 25 पानी के टैंकर तैनात किए हैं और नगर निगम जल निकासी और स्वच्छता का काम कर रहा है।
