Teenager Wins $10,000 For Inclusive Kickball League

Sixteen-year-old Lucas Rojas transformed a single inclusive kickball game into a six-team league named LINKball: Kickball for All. The free program now involves over 40 players with special needs and more than 60 student volunteers. Rojas, a student at Christopher Columbus High School, was inspired by a charity game and wanted to create a lasting opportunity for connection. His initiative has earned him national recognition and a $10,000 Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes.
