Maharashtra Govt Forms SIT to Probe Rs 500 Crore Audio Clip Allegation

The Maharashtra government has established a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to thoroughly investigate an audio clip involving Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange. The SIT, headed by Additional Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, will conduct forensic and technical analysis of the recording. The clip allegedly discusses Rs 500 crore being given to Jarange through Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde. The investigation aims to examine claims of political influence and financial dealings ahead of the 2024 assembly elections.

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने मराठा कोटा कार्यकर्ता मनोज जरांगे से जुड़े एक ऑडियो क्लिप की गहन जांच के लिए तीन-सदस्यीय विशेष जांच दल (एसआईटी) का गठन किया है। अतिरिक्त आयुक्त शैलेश बलकवडे के नेतृत्व वाली एसआईटी रिकॉर्डिंग का फोरेंसिक और तकनीकी विश्लेषण करेगी। क्लिप में कथित तौर पर शिवसेना सांसद श्रीकांत शिंदे के माध्यम से जरांगे को ₹500 करोड़ दिए जाने की चर्चा है। इस जांच का उद्देश्य 2024 के विधानसभा चुनावों से पहले राजनीतिक प्रभाव और वित्तीय सौदों के दावों की जांच करना है।
