Securitisation Volume Hits Record ₹1.47 Trillion In First Half FY27
Business Standard · business
Securitisation volumes surged 42% year-on-year to a record ₹1.47 trillion in the first half of FY27, driven by a significant increase in gold loan securitisation and a recovery in vehicle loan transactions. The July-September quarter saw a pick-up in activity, pushing half-yearly volumes to an all-time high, according to ICRA estimates. Gold loans led growth, with volumes rising nearly 1.5 times, while vehicle loans constituted a third of overall securitisation. This strong performance supports ICRA's FY27 estimate of at least ₹2.6-2.7 trillion.
