Bank Unions Announce September Strike Over Demands

Bank employee unions have announced a strike on September 11, with further strikes planned for September 28, 29, and 30. An indefinite strike is slated to begin from October 26 if their demands, including a five-day work week, are not met. C.H. Venkatachalam, general secretary of the All India Bank Employees’ Association, confirmed the strike dates.

बैंक कर्मचारी यूनियनों ने 11 सितंबर को हड़ताल का ऐलान किया है। इसके अलावा 28, 29 और 30 सितंबर को भी हड़ताल होगी। अगर उनकी मांगें, जैसे कि पांच दिन का कार्य सप्ताह, नहीं मानी गईं तो 26 अक्टूबर से अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल शुरू हो जाएगी। ऑल इंडिया बैंक एम्प्लॉइज एसोसिएशन के महासचिव सी.एच. वेंकटचलम ने इन तारीखों की पुष्टि की है।
