Visakhapatnam Civic Body Seals 58 Shops, Collects Over Rs 4 Lakh in Fines

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has sealed 58 shops and imposed fines totaling Rs 4.36 lakh following 80 inspections across the city. Actions were taken against establishments violating sanitation rules, including dumping waste in public areas and using banned plastics. The Madhurawada zone saw the highest number of sealed shops with 16, while also collecting the most fines at Rs 94,000. Civic officials are prioritizing sanitation and urging businesses to manage waste properly by storing it in dustbins and handing it over to designated vehicles daily.

ग्रेटर विशाखापत्तनम म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन ने पूरे शहर में 80 निरीक्षणों के बाद 58 दुकानें सील कर दी हैं और कुल 4.36 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। सार्वजनिक जगहों पर कचरा फेंकने और प्रतिबंधित प्लास्टिक के इस्तेमाल सहित स्वच्छता नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले प्रतिष्ठानों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की गई। मदुरवाड़ा ज़ोन में सबसे ज़्यादा 16 दुकानें सील की गईं और सबसे ज़्यादा 94,000 रुपये का जुर्माना भी वसूला गया। नगर निगम के अधिकारी स्वच्छता को प्राथमिकता दे रहे हैं और व्यवसायों से कचरे को कूड़ेदान में रखकर और रोज़ाना निर्धारित वाहनों को सौंपकर उसका ठीक से प्रबंधन करने का आग्रह कर रहे हैं।
