PV Dispatches Surge 37% Before Indian Festivals

Passenger vehicle dispatches saw a significant 36.5% year-on-year increase, reaching 4,39,309 units in August. This growth, however, is partly attributed to a lower base in August 2025, when 3,21,901 vehicles were sent to dealers. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam) noted this trend, with director general Rajesh Menon expecting festive demand to further boost dispatches this quarter. The auto industry is gearing up for the festive season, with dealers receiving more inventory.
