SpiceJet is facing significant operational challenges, including around 40 pilots refusing to fly its Q400 aircraft until their pending salaries are cleared. The Airline Pilots’ Association of India (ALPA India) has offered support to the pilots, citing their considerable stress and uncertainty due to persistent financial issues. The airline is reportedly struggling with financial constraints, operating only 10 aircraft while 37 remain parked. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is closely monitoring the situation as SpiceJet's market share has declined.
