Business Standard · business

Rajasthan is intensifying efforts to transition households from LPG cylinders to domestic piped natural gas (DPNG) connections, according to Rajasthan State Gas Limited (RSGL). The state government, in coordination with CGD entities like RSGL, is expanding infrastructure to prioritize DPNG connections for homes, hostels, hotels, and commercial establishments. Approximately 200,000 households are already connected to DPNG services, with RSGL adding around 4,500 new domestic connections in the last three months. The Rajasthan City Gas Distribution Policy 2025 aims for 7.971 million DPNG connections by 2029, promoting clean energy access.
