The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has petitioned the District Collector seeking legal action against Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and polling officials. The party alleges that the MLA cast an invalid vote at Booth No. 115/8 in Ward 115 during the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation elections on November 1. CPI(M) claims Babu voted for mayoral and corporator candidates where he was not registered to vote. कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया (मार्क्सवादी) ने जिला कलेक्टर से पेंडुर्थी विधायक पंचकरला रमेश बाबू और मतदान अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की मांग की है। पार्टी का आरोप है कि विधायक ने 1 नवंबर को ग्रेटर विशाखापत्तनम म्युनिसिपल कॉर्पोरेशन चुनावों के दौरान वार्ड 115 में बूथ नंबर 115/8 पर एक अमान्य वोट डाला। सीपीआई(एम) का दावा है कि बाबू ने मेयर और कॉर्पोरेटर उम्मीदवारों के लिए वोट डाला, जहाँ वे वोट देने के लिए पंजीकृत नहीं थे। पार्टी का तर्क है कि चुनाव कानून का यह उल्लंघन जनता के विश्वास को कम करता है और इस मामले की गहन जांच की मांग करता है।
