Amazon confirmed on Wednesday it has made a small number of job cuts, mainly impacting its Stores unit which manages the primary e-commerce website. These layoffs in the retail division occur during Amazon's major shopping event, Prime Big Deal Days. This follows earlier, larger rounds of job reductions that began last year. A spokesperson stated the adjustments were made to better align with company priorities. Employees in the US, India, and the UK were among those affected by the latest cuts.
