India's MIB Warns TV Channels Against Anti-National Content & AI Misuse

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has issued an advisory to satellite TV channels, urging them to avoid airing anti-national content and inflammatory debates. Channels are instructed to exercise caution with violent visuals and refrain from live coverage of anti-terror operations. The advisory also cautions against the misuse of artificial intelligence, including generative AI, in news presentations, emphasizing that AI tools should only be used in an assistive capacity.

सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय (MIB) ने सैटेलाइट टीवी चैनलों को एक सलाह जारी की है, जिसमें उनसे राष्ट्र-विरोधी सामग्री और भड़काऊ बहसें प्रसारित करने से बचने का आग्रह किया गया है। चैनलों को हिंसक दृश्यों के साथ सावधानी बरतने और आतंकवाद-विरोधी अभियानों की सीधी कवरेज से बचने का निर्देश दिया गया है। सलाह में समाचार प्रस्तुतियों में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस, जिसमें जनरेटिव AI भी शामिल है, के दुरुपयोग के खिलाफ भी चेतावनी दी गई है, और इस बात पर जोर दिया गया है कि AI टूल का उपयोग केवल सहायक क्षमता में ही किया जाना चाहिए।
