Amrabad Tiger Reserve Villagers Block Highway, Oppose Relocation Push

Residents of Vatvarlapally village in Amrabad Tiger Reserve blocked the Hyderabad-Srisailam highway, protesting alleged stalling of development works and pressure to relocate. Villagers raised slogans demanding development and the right to live in their native village with basic facilities. They claimed government-approved projects, including school construction and a water tank, were obstructed, and contractors faced warnings. The residents reiterated their opposition to relocation, stating they were born and raised there, and demanded completion of sanctioned works and an end to relocation efforts.

अम्रदाबाद टाइगर रिजर्व के वटवरलापल्ली गांव के निवासियों ने विकास कार्यों में कथित रुकावट और पुनर्वास के लिए दबाव बनाने के विरोध में हैदराबाद-श्रीशैलम हाईवे को अवरुद्ध कर दिया। ग्रामीणों ने विकास और बुनियादी सुविधाओं के साथ अपने मूल गांव में रहने के अधिकार की मांग करते हुए नारे लगाए। उन्होंने दावा किया कि स्कूल निर्माण और पानी की टंकी सहित सरकार द्वारा अनुमोदित परियोजनाओं में बाधा डाली गई, और ठेकेदारों को चेतावनी दी गई। निवासियों ने पुनर्वास का अपना विरोध दोहराया, यह कहते हुए कि वे वहीं पैदा हुए और पले-बढ़े हैं, और स्वीकृत कार्यों को पूरा करने और पुनर्वास के प्रयासों को समाप्त करने की मांग की।
