CPI-M Leader MA Baby Calls Supreme Court A 'Supreme Failure'

CPI-M General Secretary MA Baby has sharply criticized the Supreme Court's functioning, stating it is becoming a 'Supreme Failure'. Speaking to a Malayalam news channel, Baby urged that his comments be translated and conveyed to the Supreme Court judges. He further stated that if the court takes suo motu cognizance and punishes him for contempt, he would consider it the biggest award of his political career. Baby had approached the Supreme Court challenging restrictions on metro, railway, and internet services during proposed protests.

सीपीएम के जनरल सेक्रेटरी एमए बेबी ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के कामकाज की तीखी आलोचना की है और कहा है कि यह 'सुप्रीम फेलियर' बनता जा रहा है। एक मलयालम समाचार चैनल से बात करते हुए, बेबी ने आग्रह किया कि उनकी टिप्पणियों का अनुवाद किया जाए और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जजों तक पहुंचाई जाए। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि अगर अदालत स्वतः संज्ञान लेती है और उन्हें अवमानना के लिए दंडित करती है, तो वह इसे अपने राजनीतिक करियर का सबसे बड़ा पुरस्कार मानेंगे। बेबी ने प्रस्तावित विरोध प्रदर्शनों के दौरान मेट्रो, रेलवे और इंटरनेट सेवाओं पर लगाए गए प्रतिबंधों को चुनौती देते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट का रुख किया था।
