Students at Mahanadi Girls’ Hostel, Ravenshaw University, protested on Sunday after allegedly finding worms in their mess food. This is not the first instance, as students have repeatedly raised hygiene concerns with authorities without effective action. Following the protest, the chief warden convened a meeting with wardens, students, and caterers, and university officials inspected the cooking area. The students submitted a written complaint demanding regular cleaning, food item inspection, protective gear for cooks, improved drainage, and a committee to monitor food quality.
