Students repainted boundary walls with political messages after the administration had whitewashed them, leading to the new graffiti also being erased. The conflict escalated after police advised the institute to remove provocative wall writings, citing public sentiment and peace. Students view the administration's actions as an attack on their freedom of expression, demanding a meeting with SRFTI chairman Suresh Gopi.
