KWA Plans Rs 3.52 Crore Sewer Line Upgrades Across Thiruvananthapuram City
Times of India · india
The Kerala Water Authority's sewerage section has proposed a second phase of sewer line upgrades across six locations in Thiruvananthapuram city, aiming to address the increasing sewage load on ageing infrastructure. This project, estimated to cost approximately Rs 3.52 crore, is scheduled to commence in December. Several existing sewer lines are over three decades old and are no longer adequate for the city's growing population and economic activities. The upgrades include replacing old pipes with larger-diameter ones and installing new lines and manholes to enhance the system's carrying capacity.
