SP Calls Rebel MLAs 'Vestigial Organs' After They Join BJP

Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections, political defections are intensifying. SP spokesperson Udayveer Singh likened three rebel SP MLAs joining the BJP to vestigial organs like the appendix, which are removed when they cause trouble. He stated the SP had already expelled them, and their fate with the BJP is now the latter's problem. The MLAs, including Manoj Pandey and Rakesh Pratap Singh, had previously cross-voted in the February 2024 Rajya Sabha elections, leading to their expulsion.
