In a significant crackdown in Surat, Gujarat, authorities have apprehended 16 individuals operating clinics without the necessary medical qualifications. These alleged fake doctors, some only having passed 10th or 12th grade, were reportedly administering allopathic medicines, injections, and glucose drips to patients. One individual, merely a 10th-pass, is accused of running a clinic for 33 years. The joint operation by the SOG and district health department targeted clinics in the industrial area, exposing a serious health risk to the local labour population.
