India Reminds Pakistan at UN of Kargil Soldiers Buried by Indian Army
Hindustan Times · world
At the United Nations, India has sharply reminded Pakistan of its actions during the 1999 Kargil War. Indian diplomat Bhavika Mangalanandan highlighted that the Indian Army buried Pakistani soldiers with military honours and Islamic rites, despite Pakistan refusing to accept their bodies. She criticized Pakistan for preaching religious freedom while failing to acknowledge its own fallen soldiers. India also urged Pakistan to cease its obsession with Jammu and Kashmir and focus instead on territories under its illegal occupation, while accusing Islamabad of spreading misinformation and sponsoring terrorism.
