The petitioner's counsel sought an immediate hearing, warning that the National Testing Agency (NTA) might destroy the relevant records after the 90-day retention period expires. The NTA's rules stipulate record deletion after 90 days, and the NEET-UG 2026 results were declared on July 16, making Thursday the final day.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट गुरुवार को NEET-UG 2026 OMR उत्तर पुस्तिका को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर तत्काल सुनवाई के लिए सहमत हो गया है। याचिकाकर्ता के वकील ने तत्काल सुनवाई की मांग की और चेतावनी दी कि नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी (NTA) 90-दिन की अवधि समाप्त होने के बाद संबंधित रिकॉर्ड नष्ट कर सकती है। NTA के नियमों के अनुसार, 90 दिनों के बाद रिकॉर्ड हटा दिए जाते हैं, और NEET-UG 2026 के परिणाम 16 जुलाई को घोषित किए गए थे, जिससे गुरुवार अंतिम दिन है।
