Germany Optimistic About Montenegro's EU Membership Progress

Germany has expressed optimism regarding Montenegro's bid to join the European Union, with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stating the country has made "remarkable progress." Wadephul noted that Montenegro's ambition is being heard in Brussels and other European capitals. He highlighted Montenegro's efforts as an example for the Western Balkans, emphasizing that those willing and able to meet EU criteria can succeed. Montenegro, a frontrunner among regional candidates, aims to become the EU's 28th member state.
