Speculation arose that the upcoming film Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth and featuring a cameo by Hrithik Roshan, might not release in Hindi due to its OTT deal. Reports suggested a shorter four-week gap between theatrical and OTT release, which is typically eight weeks for Hindi films, causing issues with major multiplexes. However, the film's PR team has now clarified that Jailer 2 will indeed have a Hindi theatrical release, alongside its other language versions. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
