Scroll journalist Ayush Tiwari was detained by Delhi Police while covering a protest outside Harkishan Singh Surjeet Bhawan. Tiwari was filming a procession of around 60 individuals, affiliated with left-wing groups and students, who were being detained by police. When Tiwari identified himself as a journalist and showed his press card, officers stated, “Everybody claims to be a journalist these days, you are no different.” The protest was reportedly against the Election Commission.
